ABOUT

CONCEPT

Rohan Ghosh is a London based photographer with a keen sociological interest in modern life, predominantly in the context of      spatial and social dynamics of urban spaces.

His work revolves around long-term social documentary projects. Through an immersive process he seeks to frame social,   economic and political issues shaping our world, particularly in developing countries. Exploring concepts such as identity,   inclusive capitalism and aspirational growth in our globalised world.

In 2010, he worked with the Govt. of India's Aadhaar programme, the world’s largest socio-economic project – issuing         biometric identity cards to 600 million citizens. Traveling the length and breadth of India over several months, he witnessed   first hand the economic and social transformation sweeping through the country. Unlocked it seemed by a mere 2x4 inch   plastic card.
